Please join us for lunch on May 20th for a glimpse into the work of local designers David Clark, AIA, and Matthew Bramstedt.

David Clark, AIA, LEED AP

As the director of architectural design at Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr, & Huber, an AE firm in Grand Rapids, Dave promotes a client-oriented and inclusive design process that is a cornerstone of FTC&H’s client service model.  His passion for architecture is strongly connected to the relationship of physical space and sociological dynamics.  His inclusive design process and sensitivity to each project brings forth opportunities for the design team to arrive at a solution that embodies this dual relationship of building and society.  This ultimately aims at creating a sense of place.  Dave’s visionary and collaborative approach to architecture creates opportunities for the entire design team to work together towards that goal.

Matthew Bramstedt

As an architectural designer, Matt has been thrilled to develop ideas that are part of a holistic design approach at FTC&H.  He shares the same passion for architecture as Dave and sees architecture as an opportunity to both restore and bring new life to the built environment.  His creative work incorporates the use of hand sketching and 3-D modeling to offer clients real-time participatory design opportunities.  Working together with Dave, Matt has been able to focus his work on the initial development of numerous projects at FTC&H.  He is currently active in the IDP process and has begun taking the architectural registration exams.

Matt and Dave will be sharing their experiences while working on the Michigan Technological University Great Lakes Research Center and other FTC&H design projects.

Lunch will be provided.  This designTHUNK event will be held from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at FSU/GRCC Applied Technology Center, 151 Fountain Street, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
